Kim Beavon MSc CMIOSH
I began my career in Health and Safety around twenty years ago working in Civil Engineering. As my career developed, I started working my way through & gaining professional qualifications, directly and indirectly relevant to me as a Health and Safety professional, I also believed it was important to train in allied areas such as Environmental and became a qualified teacher/trainer for example.
As time went on...
I moved on into Construction and Highway Maintenance roles, gaining experience, knowledge, and learning from some wonderful peers along the way.
I have spent the past eleven years of my career working as a Health and Safety Consultant, for the leading Agricultural Insurer in the UK, in their Risk Management organisation. I have worked with all manner of businesses, both in terms of size, and a wide range of industries, including Construction, Agriculture, Horticulture, Equine premises, Estates, Leisure and Hospitality, Events and Event venues, Retail and Automotive.
Often these businesses were at varying points of their development or progression in Health and Safety Management.
Over the years I have developed my own take on the implementation of managing health and safety and seeing results. I believe that people are central to what we do. Without any justification, and understanding why we need to do, what we need to do, there is absolutely no point trying to achieve anything – ‘what is the point’?
My Professional Qualifications include...
